SolPEG stands for Solar Power Expert Group. The name was intentionally conceived in 2008 with a technical feel, inspired by familiar technical abbreviations such as MPEG and JPEG. The original typographic logo remains with us today and can still be found on reports, engineering documents and technical documentation.
The website is new. The principle behind it remains the same: investigate technical matters precisely, document them clearly and assess them independently.
